Well, for those of you who read my Facebook post on Thursday you would have seen that I wrote “Hope the weather holds out and we don’t have the snow that’s forecast”. Lol ! How wrong was I. Friday’s wedding in Downpatrick was perhaps the worst weather I have ever encountered whilst doing a wedding. It started with howling wind and hail at St. Patrick’s Church on top of the hill in Downpatrick and ended with snow balls at the La Mon Hotel in Belfast, and then me getting stuck in snow drifts taking 3 hours to make a 1 and 1/2 hour journey.
Hope it didn’t spoil the bride and groom’s day but it looks like some people didn’t make it to the reception because of the snow.
What do you do when it’s snowing and you can’t go for the traditional photoshoot? Go outside in the snow and play snowballs of course! I thought the bridesmaids’ black dresses looked really cool against the snow!
